Praise Report- Eric Volz Free December 31, 2007

Eric Volz was able to spend Christmas in the United States.  This is a miracle.  It took over a year, but justice prevailed.  He was released from prison and flew back to the states.  Continue to pray for Eric and his family.  Eric still has some health issues that he is dealing with and still covets our prayers.

Welcome Home everybody.  I hope each and every one of you had a tremendous Christmas.  We had an amazing time in Winchester.  We hated to leave the beautiful view of the lake and the wildlife and the food.  It was one of the best Christmas’ we have ever had.  Now we look forward to a new year.  I think this will be a great year for everyone.  We will be meeting on Wednesday night, January 2.  Same time, same place.  We will kick off the new year, so be there!  Talk to you soon.

African Care Package December 21, 2007

Many of you know that Tiffany’s cousin Rebe and her family, are in South Africa doing mission work.  I was just recently on their blog and they had a list of hard to find items in South Africa.  I thought it would be a good idea for Element 26 to send a care package and have a small impact on their ministry in South Africa.  They live in a remote part of South Africa and they are going to be there for at least 3 more years.  Here is the list of items……

  • Corn Tortillas
  • Dry Ranch Dressing Packets
  • Mac and Cheese
  • Cholula Hot Sauce
  • Salsa
  • Sweet tarts
  • Starburst
  • Fruit Snacks
  • Sports Illustrated
  • Current Newspapers
  • Bath and Body Works Products
  • Nestle Tollhouse Choc. Chips
  • Dried Peppers- poblanos
  • Cliff Bars
  • General Mills Cereal

As you do your normal shopping pick up a couple of these items.  We will start collecting when we get back from the holidays.  Thanks and God bless.

I talked Wednesday night about Eric Volz and his fight for justice and freedom.  We need to continue to pray for Eric, he is still being held by the Nicaraguan authorities.  He is also experiencing several health issues.  You can imagine that the conditions of the prison down there is hurrendous.  We also need to pray for Eric’s mom, Maggie.  She is currently in Nicaragua, trying to bring her son home.  For more info about the background of the story, you can go to www.friendsofericvolz.com.  For all of you facebookers, there is a Free Eric Volz facebook group.  Check it out.
