Healthy and Christmas usually are not involved in the same sentence. But it is very important to have a healthy holiday. Last year, I had the worst ear infection known to man and it made the Christmas season terrible. Not only do we need to be physically healthy, but we should also be mentally and emotionally healthy. Here is an article that I found that gives some great tips for the holidays. Click here to read

It is time once again for our annual Christmas Party. There is always so many parties that each of us have to attend, so we thought why not have it in November. Well it is the last day of November. This year’s party will be at the church again and will start at 6 p.m. It will be a potluck dinner, we will have Ham or if you are anti-pork we will get you an alternate source of protein. This year’s theme will be Country Christmas. We will have just an old-fashioned Christmas party. The kids of course will be invited and this year they will be in the same room as the adults. If you are planning on attending, let us know tonight or at least by thursday. We need to know how many place settings and how big of a ham to buy. See you tonight and then again on Friday Night!

Yes it’s true, the Christmas season is upon us. This truly is the most wonderful time of the year. Hopefully you had a pleasant Thanksgiving holiday. How many of you have ever gotten to the end of the Thanksgiving holiday and thought to yourself, I am tired of eating. That was a viable thought last night when we got back to Murfreesboro. I am glad to hear that no one was trampled by a crazy mom diving for the very last i-dog (or whatever the popular toy was this year). Black Friday was crazy, my wife was one of the crazies getting up at 3 a.m. to get to the mall. She was exhausted by Friday night, but she was a trooper at the Christmas on the River in Chattanooga, which was a lot of fun. That is where we met this very nice elf. Now Christmas is just a few weeks away and it will be a very busy week. Take time for Christ during the next few weeks. After all He is the reason we celebrate this holiday. Let us never forget that. I thought it was very poignant on Friday night, the santa claus that was at the River gave an acknowledgement to the real reason. What a great witness. See you on Wednesday night!!!
Hello from Chattanooga! We just wanted to drop you a line and tell you how much we are thankful for wonderful friends and a wonderful group. Don’t forget to take time out to think of others today. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and may God richly bless each and every one of you.
